  It is a station in JR Japan Southernmost Point.Nishiooyama station in JR Ibusukimakurazaki line is the unmanned railroad station where there is not a station employee.The Mt. kaimondake (Satsuma-fuji) can be viewed.Tabata spreads only to the neighborhood at the station building.The tour from JR Souyahon line Wakkanai station at the northernmost tip to the station of the leaving callosity of 3,126 kilometers is popular.It is the unmanned railroad station where there is not a station employee but there are respectively many comers.It was to do the station being of Southernmost Point at the railroad in Japan before but as for "the YUI monorail" starting in Okinawa Prefecture Naha City which is in the south in the more in 2003, it became a station in JR Japan Southernmost Point.
